ICE Out For Good - Solidarity With Minnesota, January 23rd, 2026



Thousands of anti-ICE protestors showed up to Union Square in New York City on January 23rd, 2026 for a rally and march as a show of support for the people of Minnesota. The protest was part of a nationwide day of solidarity with Minnesota, where protestors across the USA demanded that ICE gets out of their neighborhoods and communities forever.

Nurses Strike, January 13th, 2026



On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, nurses in New York City went on strike for the second day in a row. This is the largest nurse strike in NYC history with picket lines at multiple hospitals across the city. As their old contract expires, nurses are demanding a new contract that will provide better working conditions for them and a better environment for patients. These photos were taken at Montefiore Moses hospital in The Bronx.

ICE Protest, January 11th, 2026



On Sunday, January 11, 2026, thousands of New Yorkers joined the national "ICE Out For Good" weekend of action, hitting the streets of Midtown Manhattan. The rally and march was organized in response to the murder of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by ICE agent Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis last week. The march began at 60th street and Firth Avenue and moved down Fifth Avenue, effectively shutting it down, and ended in Times Square.

Hudson Yards Lighting Ceremony (with Ellie the Elephant)



Hudson Yards lights the Vessel for the first time to kick off the holiday season in New York City with music, choir performances and a huge crowd of thousands of people. And the best part is that Ellie the Elephant from the New York Liberty WNBA basketball team made an appearance. Ellie pushed the button to light the whole thing up!

No Kings Rally and March, June 14th, 2025



The No Kings Day nationwide protest was organized in response to Donald Trump's military parade in Washington DC. Ostensibly, the parade was meant to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States Army. In reality, Trump organized it for his birthday (which by an unfortunate coincidence falls on the same day as the Army's birthday) because he wants to be praised, fawned over and worshipped like a king.

Event photography isn't easy. Successfully photographing an event will usually involve hours of work. You'll be standing on your feet for a long time, and carrying heavy camera gear, all while surrounded by a sea of people. You'll have to compose shots quickly, and if a special or unique moment happens, you will never get a second chance to capture it, so you must be alert at all times.
