Get ICE out of our Cities Protest

Posted by PWH3 on January 9th, 2026

Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Lower Manhattan and marched across the city on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, joining a national wave of outrage following the death of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. Good, a mother of three and an award-winning poet, was murdered in cold blood by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis on January 7, 2026 after an innocuos encounter on the street of her neighborhood.

In New York City, the demonstrations—part of a coordinated "ICE Out For Good" movement—saw protesters congregate outside federal buildings, including the Jacob K. Javits Federal Building, chanting Good’s name and calling for the immediate cessation of federal immigration raids.
